The Belgo-Brazilian pair of Laurens Vanthoor and Cesar Ramos took the win in a very wet Qualifying Race at the Slovakiaring, at the wheel of the #1 Belgian Audi Club Team WRT Audi . The race was interrupted twice due to an accident in the opening lap and heavy rain just after the halfway mark.
Five minutes from the end Enzo Ide was still leading the race, but then the Belgian spun his Audi, dropping to 9th. That promoted Hari Proczyk to second, but the driver of the #28 Grasser Racing Team Lamborghini had to fight hard to stay in front of Sprint Series’ rookie Nico Verdonck in the #84 HTP Motorsport Mercedes. Vincent Abril, leading the Silver Cup in the #4 Belgian Audi Club Team WRT Audi, was part of this fight as well, but in the last lap the Frenchman went wide, not only losing 4th position, but also giving the win in Silver Cup to the #34 ROAL Motorsport BMW of Stefano Colombo. The win in the Pro-Am Trophy went to the #5 Phoenix Racing Audi of Alessandro Latif and Marc Basseng, which finished in 8th overall as well.
