BMW Sports Trophy Team Brasil on top in turbulent FP1

In the first free practice session for the second round of the 2015 Blancpain Sprint Series, BMW Sports Trophy Team Brasil picked up where they had left it off at the opening round in Nogaro. Sergio Jimenez put the #0 BMW Z4 GT3 on top of the standings, narrowly beating the #1 Belgian Audi Club Team WRT. Third was the #73 MRS GT Racing Nissan.

The session was marred by two red flag interruptions. The first one after Anders Fjordbach in the #74 ISR Audi hit the tyre wall on the outside of Paddock Hill bend, the second after a serious shunt of the #84 Bentley Team HTP Continental exiting that same first corner. Damage to the Bentley is substantial, driver Maximilian Buhk was fortunately okay.

Free practice 2 starts at 11.55.
