The 90-minute pre-qualifying session accentuated the small differences there are between the different cars of the 2016 Blancpain GT Series. Even though the top-4 positions at the end of the session were taken by Ferrari-drivers - Matt Griffin in the #52 AF Corse Ferrari was quickest in 1'48.196 - there are 24 cars within the same second on the timesheets, with eleven cars less than four tenths away from Griffin's lap time.
The Irishman was also the quickest of the Pro-Am drivers, while the #51 AF Corse Ferrari of Mann, Guedes and Mastronardi was the fastest of the Am cars. Tomorrow sees the qualifying session start at 9 am, with the start at the race given at 3 pm.
