The Motorbase Performance team was created for the 2004 season, but its origins go much further back. It is over 20 years since David Bartrum first started racing and, after extensive success in Production Saloons, TVR Tuscans and Ford Saloons, he turned his attention to team management and then to the creation of Motorbase Performance. From its humble beginnings Motorbase Performance is now one of the one of the most impressive race teams in Britain, with Porsche Carrera Cup GB and British GT titles to its name. After announcing a change of marque to the prestigious Aston Martin brand; 2014 promises to be a big year for Motorbase Performance with its extended GT3 squad and expansion into the Blancpain Endurance series.
